IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR DRINKING WATER Multiple Violations at HUME PWS from 2022 TO 2023

Este informe contiene información muy importante sobre su agua potable. Tradúzealo o hable con alguien que lo entienda bien.

The Hume PWS public water system (ID # MO1010388, Bates Co.) has had multiple violations of monitoring requirements and drinking water standards from July 2022 through December 2023. During this time period this system incurred four (4) monitoring violations. Public notice si required for al of these violations, but has not been reported for either of them.

Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not our drinking water meets health standards. You failed to collect routine drinking water samples for the testing for COMPL STATE 2DBP, a violation on 10 CSR 60-4.094(3)(A)7. One Routine sample is required every three (3) months and 0 samples were taken from July to September 2022, January to March 2023, April to June 2023, or October to December 2023. This system also failed to submit a routine sample for bacteriological testing in February 2023 resulting in a major monitoring violation for the month.

During the months of monitoring violations, we cannot be sure of the quality of our drinking water. Bacteriologically-contaminated water can cause a variety of disease symptoms. It is important to routinely test drinking water to ensure the safety of those that consume it.
Public notice is required for both these violations, but has not been reported for either of them and is past due. Performing public notice now resolves this issue. Please share this information with al the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have direct access to this information. You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.
